To start off FYC’s new California’s Filming Locations series, I’m beginning with one of my favorite movies and one of my favorite buildings, the Bradbury Building from the last scene in (500) Days Of Summer, where Tom meets Autumn. Truly a masterpiece of a building, I’ve been there myself, it’s gorgeous.

CNBC’s list of the top ten most diverse cities in the United States. Proud to say four out of ten of them are ours :) Number 1 is Los Angeles, Number 5 is San Diego, Number 3 is Oakland, and Number 9 is San Francisco. Love all the culture we have to offer!

Hi guys! Found this interesting article on the Business Insider about what Americans thought were the craziest, hottest, smartest, etc. states! I chose a few of my favorites above but there are a lot more, check it out at http://www.businessinsider.com/poll-how-americans-feel-about-the-states-2013-8 . Wasn’t surprised seeing the results, with New York and California being equally praised and shat on at the same time, and with everyone hating on poor Texas haha.

Gotta love the Golden State!

You guys may remember that a few years ago I made a post about the announcement of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter being announced to open in Universal Studios Hollywood (http://fuckyescalifornia.tumblr.com/post/13581510409). Construction began in the summer of 2013 and to make room for the new park, the Gibson Amphitheatre and The Adventures of Curious George are to be demolished. Previously it was stated that the park was to be opened 2015, but later on it was changed to the opening being no earlier than 2016. Can’t wait!!! I am pleased to present to you City Lights by Colin Rich, the final chapter from his “Trilogy of Light” series that began with LA Light and followed up by Nightfall, all featuring beautiful timelapses of Los Angeles’ city lights. Each and every single video took an enormous around of work, patience, and dedication. I highly recommend you take a few minutes out of your day to watch this beautiful video (we recommend fullscreen) and the others if you haven’t yet:
